John Latta mentions Yves Klein. In an issue of Sulfur, I believe, is a photograph of Klein called "The Leap". that leap being a cascading sort of swan dive out a 2nd floor window, with a good French sidewalk underneath.zowie, commitment!

The silly sod nearly died. It was his judo training that saved him. Some breakfall! He eventually died of a heart-attack in his 30's, I think. Reckon it grew too big for his chest.
I recall the "older wiser" Keith Moon saying that he knew he was getting old when leaping downstairs head first started hurting him. now if Klein had done the same feat with a skateboard somewhere nearby, the nature of this act would change greatly.
