i feel both short and tall, looking here, but them, i am schizophrenic. pretty fair texture. texture photography that i've noticed always seems to develop from the ground up. i started at railroad crossings. nothing good. try looking at door & window frames. it's the next logical step. also very difficult, nothing likely to come of it. after that, tho, you're experienced. every texture will look perfect in your photos, and your sense of restraint will be very good.
i am meaning to head downtown (Kansas City), but my last couple of outings turned up only one solid image, the 'unknown' light green flower on my blog, from the botanical gardens, per annum. i just got a kc library card, so i may photograph the library, you know, do the typical crazy job, then park my car downtown. cheers.
